On behalf of our client, ESOC, we are looking for a skilled PFMS Database Administrator (OPS Directorate - ERP Tool) join our team distributed over the ESOC site, in Germany.
Main Responsibilities
You will be working on-site at the ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. Your mission is to ensure the maintenance, evolution, and accessibility of the OPS Directorate ERP tool (PFMS), supporting resource planning, forecasting, and management processes, as well as providing helpdesk and training support to users.
As PFMS Database Administrator (OPS Directorate - ERP Tool) you will concentrate your activities on the following:
- Administering and maintaining the PFMS system, ensuring the evolution of the ERP tool in line with business and corporate needs.
- Supporting the integration of external Excel files into the OPS ERP system for procurement planning.
- Managing synchronization between the PFMS system and external Excel files for data input and output.
- Assisting in the development and extension of the OPS ERP dashboards for comprehensive reporting and resource management.
- Evaluating and interfacing the OPS ERP system with ESA's Data Factory to improve data integration and reporting.
- Providing support for establishing and verifying full cost plans and assisting with contractual implementations.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the correct execution of the procurement and resource planning processes.
- Developing, extending, and aligning corporate dashboards with OPS-specific analysis and reporting requirements.
- Offering helpdesk support and training to users, ensuring smooth utilization of the PFMS system.
Successful Candidate
Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:
- Strong experience in database administration and ERP tool management
- Proficiency in Oracle, SQL queries, Power BI, and Power queries
- Solid background in data analytics, with the ability to create and manage dashboards for comprehensive reporting.
- Experience with the integration of external tools such as Excel into ERP systems
- Familiarity with ESA business processes, especially SAP SRM and ESA contractual frameworks.
- Experience working in international teams and liaising with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure/Synapse Analytics is an asset
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with the PFMS system or similar OPS ERP tools.
- Expertise in corporate data sources, Datalake, or Data Factory environments.
- Knowledge of ESA's procurement processes and financial planning systems.
