As part of our collaboration with Frontex, Serco provides vital geospatial and technical support, focusing on GIS operations and spatial analysis to support border and security management. We contribute to Frontex's initiatives by implementing robust data processing, visualization, and geo-intelligence services, enabling timely and accurate information for operational decisions.

On behalf of our customer Frontex, we are looking for a GIS Analyst. You would be working on-site at Frontex’s location in Warsaw, with a flexible working model available. This is a one-year contract for contractors, with the possibility of a one-year extension. Your mission is to support the GIS team by managing, analysing, and visualizing geospatial data relevant to Frontex’s operational needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and produce digital maps with geographic data to meet operational requirements.
  • Create and maintain geoprocessing tools for spatial data analysis and automation.
  • Apply GEOINT exploitation methodologies, including Full Spectrum GEOINT (FSG) or Advanced GEOINT (AGI), in analysis tasks.
  • Use ESRI’s ArcGIS platform for data management and analysis, ensuring high availability and performance of GIS tools for operational use.
  • Conduct spatial data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that support operational planning and decision-making.
  • Document workflows, create reports, and maintain records to ensure accuracy and consistency in data usage and GIS operations.
  • Develop and execute Python scripts (version 3.7.8 or higher) for automating data processing and analysis tasks.

Successful Candidate

  • A university degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in GIS and/or GEOINT, focusing on ESRI’s ArcGIS platform and operational GEOINT processes.
  • Proficiency in designing and producing digital maps.
  • Advanced skills in ArcGIS Pro (version 2.8 or higher) and familiarity with spatial and network analysis tools.
  • Experience with Python for geospatial data processing.
  • Knowledge of GEOINT methodologies, data management, and production cycles.
  • Strong analytical abilities, team-oriented attitude, and excellent communication skills.
  • Capability to produce high-quality written materials and presentations.
  • Fluency in English at B2 level or above.
