We are seeking a Financial Administrator to work on our Customers Site (ESA-ESTEC) in the Netherlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to get into one of the most sought-after space agencies in the world.
This Service supports the ESA staff journeys by working with travel agencies, car rental companies, credit card providers, auditors, CASP/CANG and IT application support (in addition to travellers, internal and external and their assistants if applicable).
Main Responsibilities
As a Financial Administrator you will concentrate your activities on the following:
- Coordination and consolidation of in-year and multiyear resource plans.
- Monitoring and controlling the implementation of the plans in line with resource targets, performing forecasting, identifying deviations and related recovery actions, producing related reports.
- Multi-year analysis, historical trends.
- Proactive Programme/Project controlling, analysis and reporting including coordinating monthly financial status reporting at Directorate level.
- Interfacing with counterparts in other Directorates, such as finance/corporate controllers/project controllers, as well as within D/TEC.
- Interfacing with Directorate’s Business Controller Administration Managers and their teams.
- Monitoring and control of Service Level Agreements between TEC and other Directorates.
- Proactively contributing to the definition, implementation and improvement of management support processes, methods and tools.
- Supporting colleagues in the team to ensure smooth operations and continuous high standard of service to internal and external customers.
Successful Candidate
Do you think you are the person we are looking for? See below what experience or knowledge you should bring:
- Vocational Degree or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in providing a customer-oriented service with an eye for processing and workflow.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and experience in Accounts Payables.
- Familiarity with modern office automation tools and techniques, in particular Microsoft Office or equivalent, as well as customized database and software applications.
- Experience as a user of SAP and in particular ECC module and familiarity with relevant ESA corporate applications is an asset and preferably experience with/knowledge of SAP Concur.
- Capacity to identify priority actions and to handle high workloads.
- Conflict management skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and establish good working relations with relevant actors in ESA and Industry.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
