Job Introduction

On behalf of our team, we are looking for a Data Scientist. You would be working on-site in Toulouse, with a generous distribution of working hours into the hybrid model.

You would be involved from strategy development and implementation to ongoing optimization and innovation of our Earth Observation (EO) cloud platform.

Main Responsibilities

  • Utilise your expertise in statistics, machine learning, programming, data modelling, and advanced mathematics to harmonise datasets, recognise patterns, identify opportunities, and select the right processing
  • Design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that extract optimal value from the data
  • Being able to combine heterogeneous data coming from multiple sources to extract information
  • Generate and test hypotheses and analyse and interpret the results of product experiments
  • Collaborate with partners to transform prototypes into innovative products, services, and features
  • Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualisation support, including the creation of dashboards and fulfilment of ad-hoc data analysis requests
  • Be proactive by suggesting new ideas and innovative solutions

Successful Candidate

  • Master’s in a relevant discipline (Master, Bac+5) with 3 years’ experience
  • Proficiency in Python languages, big data tools like Spark, and data visualisation tools such as Grafana, OpenSearch
  • Experience working with GIS tools is a plus
  • Experience working with large datasets on cloud environment
  • Able to switch from technical to functional matters
  • Ability to present your work with respect to the audience
  • Experience in the space sector is appreciated, existing knowledge in Space Applications (e.g., Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, Navigation)
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of additional languages is a plus
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
